What is Teen Hypnosis? Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that happens on a daily basis. Very much like daydreaming, we do it at work/school, at home in front of the TV and whilst driving.

Hypnosis is a state wherein the subconscious and conscious parts of the mind begin to work in harmony on achieving the same goals at the same time without conflict.

Amanda Coppin the Leading Teen Hypnotherapist has trained and practiced skills and techniques to support teens to achieving your particular aims, through reconnecting your conscious desire and subconscious power to achieving your outcome. Amanda Coppin can only guide the teenager or parent how to do it - it is the client who must actually perform the task and is in full control at all times.

During a hypnotherapy session, you are guided into a state of relaxation of which you are in complete control of yourself and cannot be made to do anything you don't want to do. What actually happens is, in this relaxed state, you are able to access your subconscious mind. This is where we store our thoughts, dreams, and memories. Our conscious mind is what we use when we are awake and alert. You can use hypnotic suggestions to change whatever negative thoughts you have stored in your unconscious mind. Hypnotherapy is an excellent method to managing and developing positive behaviour, emotional health & mental clarity and should be included in our lives on a regular basis especially during the teenage years when many changes are taking place mentally physically and emotionally. Children and teenagers are constantly using their imagination and Amanda Coppin enables the teens to overcome the problem through the gentle guidance into their own resolution. This may include changing feelings, sounds and pictures to different locations in the body, which changes the effects it has on their thoughts and feeling about the situation. In the first teen hypnosis session parents are welcome to attend the session, although I would highly recommend you discuss with your teenager their preferences. Before any session I will speak to the parents to find out your views and observations of your teenagers behaviour, mental and emotional states. Therefore during a session you will be an observer to the session. All sessions are recorded and a CD can be obtained to use to support the outcomes to be achieved. Cds should not be listened to in the car whilst you are driving. Only listen to at home just as the teenager goes to bed. For two weeks this should be every night and then reduced to every other night for a further two weeks. Then the cd should be used at least once a week until it is no longer required. Many teenagers face a vast range of issues that can cause confusion, stress, or anxiety and Hypnotherapy can support young people to manage a vast range of issues. Parents are encouraged to come and experiences hypnosis in a group session that take place fortnightly. This enables you to gain a better understanding of the processes that are used for their teenagers and ask any questions and then book the sessions for your child.
